Importance of first article inspection
During the production process, there are often changes in personnel, materials, time, processes and production transfers. First article inspection ensures that these activities do not have an impact on the quality of subsequent production. The definition of first article and first article inspection is divided into the following conditions.
Process change.
A change in any one or more of the 5M1E (people, machines, materials, methods, environment and measurement) production elements during production, such as changes in personnel, adjustment and maintenance of equipment, change of materials and change of tooling and fixtures, design changes, line stoppages, etc. All have to provide the first product.
The purpose of first article inspection: in the production
The first inspection in the production process is mainly: to prevent the product from appearing in batches of size exceeded, rework or scrap, it is a means of pre-emptive control of the product production process, is an important method of quality control of the product process, is an effective and essential method to ensure product quality, improve economic efficiency.
Timing and site of first article inspection: (1).
the beginning of each work shift; (2): change of operators; (3) replacement or adjustment of equipment, process equipment; (4): tool replacement or blade edge wear; (5): change of technical conditions, process methods and process parameters; (6): adoption of new materials.
Requirements for first article inspection.
The first inspection adopts a three-check system: self-inspection, mutual inspection and special inspection: the products sent for inspection must first be "self-inspected" by the operator, then "mutual inspection" by the team leader or colleagues, and finally "special inspection" by the quality inspection personnel "The first piece of the inspection is qualified and should be approved by the full-time quality personnel. The quality personnel can only agree to continue processing the subsequent products after the first piece of the inspection is qualified.
The quality inspector should mark the first product that has passed the inspection with the required mark and keep it until the shift or batch of products has been processed (all first products must be left as samples to be used for comparison with subsequent products to see if the process has changed and marked with a marker pen "√" to show that it has passed the first inspection).
If the first piece fails the inspection, it is necessary to identify the cause, take measures, eliminate the fault and then re-process and carry out three inspections until it is qualified before it can be designated as the first piece.
